The portfolio company of Veritas Capital said Tuesday Schorer has more than three decades of experience in leading companies in government technology services, defense electronics and aerospace markets.
“His extensive industry expertise and experience leading some of the world’s premier government technology services organizations make him the ideal person to drive Peraton’s next important phase of growth,” Ramzi Musallam, CEO and managing partner of Veritas and a 2024 Wash100 awardee, said of Schorer.
The incoming Peraton chief executive has served as a senior adviser at Veritas since 2021. He was CEO of Alion Science and Technology and president of DynCorp International. His other previous leadership roles were with L-3 Communications and DRS Technologies.
“We look forward to working closely alongside [Schorer] as Peraton continues to deliver on its mission to solve the U.S. government’s most complex technology and information challenges,” Musallam added.
The Veritas CEO also thanked Shea for the latter’s years of company service and leadership.
Shea has been chairman, president and CEO of Peraton since 2017. He has led the national security company in providing technology offerings across the space, intelligence, cyber, defense, homeland security, citizen security and public services, and health markets.
In 2024, Shea won his eighth Wash100 Award for spearheading continued company growth through major contract awards and for his outstanding attention to innovation.
