Aerospace Corp. Promotes Tanya Pemberton to EVP

Tanya Pemberton, senior vice president of the national systems group at The Aerospace Corporation since September 2019, has been appointed executive vice president in a move that will take effect at the start of 2024.

Aerospace said Thursday she will succeed Wayne Goodman, who is set to retire in December after a 36-year career at the nonprofit research, development and advisory services company.

In her current post, Pemberton oversees a team that works with intelligence community clients to develop architectures and adopt commercial systems.

As the next EVP, she will spearhead Aerospace’s strategy for addressing its mission and integration goals across the enterprise and providing technical support to partners in the government.

Her three-decade career includes prior stints as chief information officer and director of information technology services at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, a program director at the National Reconnaissance Office and an aerospace engineer at Hughes Space and Communications.

Aerospace added that Jay Santee, vice president for strategic space operations, is also set to retire in December and the company expects to name the successors of Santee and Pemberton in the coming weeks.
