Chuck Harris Named WSP USA Navy Program Director

Charles “Chuck” Harris, a nearly 35-year industry veteran, has joined the U.S. arm of engineering and professional services firm WSP as Navy program director for the federal programs business segment.

He will oversee growth initiatives for the Navy program, including a $500 million contract in support of the U.S. Navy’s Shipyard Infrastructure Optimization Program, and work with the federal team to deliver architecture, environmental engineering, planning, consulting, program management support and other services to strengthen WSP USA’s Navy relationships worldwide, the company said Monday.

“Chuck has proven he can deliver in highly complex organizational environments as a strong leader, consensus-builder and mentor, with a track record of achieving impressive results that support the U.S. Department of Defense clients’ mission objectives,” said Jess Commerford, chief operating officer of WSP Federal Programs.

Harris most recently served as vice president and director of the U.S. Navy business portfolio at a global engineering firm.

He is a licensed professional engineer and a member of the Society of American Military Engineers, American Society of Civil Engineers, Design-Build Institute of America and the Association of the U.S. Army.
