Army Vet James Myers Named ARA Program Innovation and Growth VP

James Myers, a retired U.S. Army colonel, has joined Applied Research Associates as vice president of program innovation and growth.

In this capacity, he will seek defense-related opportunities and programs to enable ARA to deliver novel platforms for national security applications, the company said Tuesday.

Myers “is the right person at the right time to help us grow the company across our defense sector and build programs to support our national security,” said ARA CEO Rob Sues.

Myers brings to the role over 30 years of experience in the Department of Defense and intelligence community.

He served in the Army G-8 as director of force development intelligence overseeing requirements and resourcing initiatives in support of Army electronic warfare, cyber and intelligence formations. His military career included time holding intelligence roles and serving in operational commands and brigades.
