EM Key Solutions Buys Federal Tech Services Provider Cortek; Mike Snyder Quoted

EM Key Solutions has acquired Cortek, a Fredericksburg, Virginia-based federal technical services company, from DecisionPoint through a stock purchase agreement.

EMKS CEO Mike Snyder said in a statement published Monday the combination of the company’s information technology, health platforms and consulting capabilities with Cortek’s experience delivering mission support services in the national security and defense space will enable EMKS to accelerate strategic growth initiatives.

Cortek is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business that was founded in 2003 and provides base defense and force protection, software and systems engineering, forensics and biometrics, program management and cyber support services to federal agencies, including the FBI and departments of Defense, State and Homeland Security.

Established in 2015, EMKS is a Florida-based SDVOSB and provides management consulting and health care systems to defense and federal market clients.

Cortek will continue to operate in Fredericksburg as a wholly owned subsidiary of EMKS.

Cortek Director Paul Fernandes will help facilitate the transition of customers and employees to EMKS as a consultant.
