Jacobs Engineering Group (NYSE: JEC) has launched a new brand and logo and adopted the tagline “Challenging today. Reinventing tomorrow.” to mark its transition from an engineering and construction firm to a global technology-driven platforms company and reflect its diverse and inclusive perspectives.

The company said Monday it will change its name to Jacobs Solutions and its ticker symbol on the New York Stock Exchange to “J” on Dec. 10.

Steve Demetriou, chair and CEO of Jacobs, said the new tagline seeks to “capture the shared passion, pride and drive of our people as we work with our clients and partners to solve some of the world's biggest challenges.”

Jacobs is also changing the names of its lines of business to demonstrate its outcome-focused platforms for clients. The company’s buildings, infrastructure and advanced facilities segment will become the places and places solutions business while its aerospace, technology and nuclear business will operate as critical mission solutions segment.

Jacobs saw its revenue increase 13 percent to $3.4B during the fourth quarter of fiscal 2019 and posted earnings per share of $0.16 and adjusted EPS of $1.48 during the period.
