November 7 Morning Report: GovCon Index Enters Election Eve on 6-Week Losing Streak

GovConIndexExecutive Mosaic’s GovCon Index enters the eve of the U.S. presidential election on a six-week streak of declines with Friday’s close at 78.088, up 0.024 points from Thursday.

Both the GCI and U.S. stock market at-large have felt effects of election-related uncertainty among investors over the past month with frequent swings between gains and losses during trading days.

Leidos Holdings (NYSE: LDOS) led 13 GCI companies higher for the week on a percentage basis with McKesson Corp. (NYSE: MCK) the worst performer.

This week’s round of earnings reports from GovCon Index companies includes CSRA (NYSE: CSRA) and Vectrus (NYSE: VEC).
