In December 2022, Akima and Amentum’s joint venture, Akima Range Readiness Operations (ARRO), won a contract award worth $334 million from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. The CESOM contract is the largest facility operations and management (O&M) contract that spans 19 million square feet across 425 facilities.

ARRO is mainly responsible for delivering response installation and support services to modernize, continuously improve and operate Tinker Air Force Base, a site for depot maintenance, installation support, and supply chain management for warfighters.

In July 2023, Akima’s subsidiary RiverTech, was awarded an $11 million contract. The contract aims to provide critical operational planning, systems engineering, global force management, training, and integration services.

The services focus on the Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central) Director of Operations, A3, Operational Planning Teams. Also included are operational planning, global force management, systems engineering, training, and integration to assist the U.S. Central Command requirements.

RiverTech generates technical input for the Joint Operations Plans and execution system. The subsidiary’s subject matter experts also contribute to command and control incident response management, training support, and systems engineering.

In June 2023, Akima-Intra Data won an estimated $200 million contract to deliver base operations support for the 81st Training Wing at Keesler Air Force Base. Under the award, Akima provides management and engineering services to maintain proper functions at the training installation.

Other responsibilities include installation management, maintenance, emergency management, supply and logistics, grounds maintenance, community, human resources, and weather services.

In March 2023, Akima’s subsidiary, Truestone, won a $194 million contract from the U.S. Army. This contract aims to support logistics and engineering technicians across Tobyhanna Army Depot electronics, communications, and security equipment maintenance.

Other support services included under the Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract are the fabrication, overhaul, and repair of hundreds of electronic systems. Tobyhanna is the Defense Department’s largest full-service electronics maintenance facility in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania.

The facility’s capabilities include technology insertion, systems integration, engineering design and development, and global field support to our warfighters.

In March 2021, Akima’s subsidiary, Aperture, won an estimated $114 million contract from the U.S. Navy. The IDIQ was awarded under the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic’s Command Wide 8(a) Programmatic Engineering Logistics Support Incubator program.

Aperture completes task orders to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic. It provides various IT and engineering services mandated by task orders.
