Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a $1.06 billion contract to sustain and provide recurring logistics support for F-35 aircraft of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, non-DefenseDepartment participants and foreign military sales customers.
DoD said Tuesday that Lockheed will conduct sustainment efforts such as ground maintenance, depot activation, automatic logistics information system, health management implementation and support, pilot and maintainer initial training support and supply chain management under the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract.
The obligated amount of $211.8 million at the time of award is from fiscal 2017 aircraft procurement, operations and maintenance funds of the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps as well as non-DoD participant and foreign military sales funds.
Lockheed will perform work in Texas, Florida, California, South Carolina and the U.K. through December.
The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity.
