CAES has secured a $172 million multi-year deal from RTX (NYSE: RTX) to assist the latter with the next three lots of follow-on production for missile data-link assembly.
The award supports a major international missile program, CAES said Monday.
Based in Arlington, Virginia, CAES is a subsystem provider offering advanced electronic capabilities such as antennas, flight termination receivers, telemetry assemblies, preselectors, radio frequency components, receivers and data links.
Mike Kahn, president and CEO of CAES and a previous Wash100 awardee, said “CAES has been a long-time partner of RTX and we value our continued relationship supporting their mission and advancing capabilities to defend and defeat future threats.”
In June, Honeywell (Nasdaq: HON) announced a potential transaction to buy CAES from private equity firm Advent International. The all-cash deal valued at approximately $1.9 billion is aimed at expanding Honeywell’s portfolio of defense technology platforms across ground, maritime, air and space domains.
