Advanced Technology International Secures $99M IDIQ Contract to Support Navy Manufacturing Tech Center

Advanced Technology International has been awarded a potential five-year, $99 million contract to help the U.S. Navy run a center that focuses on developing and transitioning technologies needed to manufacture composite-based naval platforms.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the Office of Naval Research is intended to support the branch’s Composite Manufacturing Center through the Navy Manufacturing Technology Program, the Department of Defense said Friday.

ATI will help manage CMTC’s operations and initiatives to transfer systems for producing composite, polymeric and nonmetallic materials to fabricators.

The Navy intends to obligate $683,000 in initial funds for the two initial cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders under the IDIQ award. Work performance, slated to run until June 2026, will occur in Summerville, South Carolina.

In 2019, ATI received a $99 million contract from the ONR to help operate the Navy Manufacturing Technology Center for Innovative Naval Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing.
