Bask Iyer
Bask Iyer, chief information officer and internet of things manager at VMware (NYSE: VMW), has assumed the additional role of interim CIO of Dell Inc., the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
Steven Norton writes a spokesman for Dell told the Journal that Iyer took the acting CIO post after Dell Inc. CIO ML Krakauer filed a temporary leave of absence due to personal reasons.
Dell Inc. and VMware are among the eight businesses that operate under enterprise information technology company Dell Technologies (NYSE: DVMT) that was formed after Dell and EMC completed their $67 billion cash-and-stock merger in September.
Iyer joined VMware in March 2015 after he served as CIO at Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR).
He also held CIO roles at Honeywell (NYSE: HON) and GlaxoSmithKline Beecham.
