The Department of Defense said Tuesday that under the cost-plus-incentive-fee contract modification, awarded on Feb. 6, the RMS business will conduct the majority of work at its facility in Manassas, Virginia. It will also perform work in Syracuse, New York and Clearwater and Marion in Florida. The project is estimated to be concluded by May 2031.
The Naval Sea Systems Command in Washington, D.C. will provide $73.5 million from the Navy’s fiscal 2025 other procurement funds and $40.6 million from fiscal 2025 shipbuilding and conversion funds. The funds for the project will be allocated upon award and will not lapse at the end of the fiscal year.
