Donald, who joined the HII board in 2016, spent 37 years at the Navy and retired from service in 2013 as director of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program. He previously commanded Naval Submarine Forces, U.S. Atlantic Fleet's Submarine Force, Allied Submarine Command and Task Forces 84 and 144.
After his military career, he worked at SPA as chief operating officer and later elevated to the CEO post.
