The contract follows an April award worth $79.4 million to design a variant of the guided multiple launch rocket system to incorporate into a new warhead.
Under the new award, the company will provide the branch with:
- guided multiple launch rocket system full-rate production VII unitary pods
- reduced range rocket pods
- download/demate pods
- integrated logistics support services.
Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas; Camden, Ark. Orland, Fla. and Lufkin, Texas.
The Pentagon expects Lockheed to complete the project by Dec. 29, 2014.
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity.
