Agile Defense Lands $100M OTA to Deliver Workforce AI Tool for NORAD, USNORTHCOM

  • Agile Defense will provide its Workforce AI tool to support NORAD and USNORTHCOM
  • The company will build the prototype of a new AI training and engineering delivery model
  • The FDE&T model combines AI instruction with forward-deployed technical support teams

Agile Defense has secured a $100 million other transaction authority agreement to deliver its Workforce AI platform in support of North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, or N&N2.

What Does the OTA Cover?

The McLean, Virginia-based company said Wednesday the OTA, awarded through the Tradewinds Solutions Marketplace, provides funding to prototype the Force Deployed Engineering and Training, or FDE&T, delivery model.

According to Agile Defense, the FDE&T model integrates AI-driven instruction with forward-deployed engineering support at the directorate level.

How Will FDE&T Be Implemented?

The model differs from traditional training and engineering contracts by embedding subject matter experts within operational directorates to provide instruction on Maven Smart System, War Data Platform and related AI capabilities during live mission workflows. Agile Defense will also provide hands-on engineering support, with SMEs working alongside operators to build, refine and operationalize AI workflows. The program includes continuously updated AI curricula, learning paths and certifications aligned with evolving mission requirements.

Chief Revenue Officer Shawn Tyrie said Agile Defense’s engineers and trainers will help operators use the platforms while turning training activities into mission capabilities that can be applied across combatant commands and military services.

The Workforce AI OTA adds to Agile Defense’s recent expansion in AI-enabled government services. The company has grown its federal portfolio through contracts supporting digital modernization and national security missions, including a potential $118 million Rapid Application and Product Integration Delivery, or RAPID, contract from the Department of Homeland Security’s Citizenship and Immigration Services for services supporting digital modernization, security and performance enhancements for mission-critical systems. Agile Defense also secured a $145 million FBI Threat Screening Center award through its IntelliWare subsidiary.
