Alisa Bearfield, a federal IT modernization leader, has been named president of CGI Federal, effective Oct. 1, succeeding Stephanie Mango, a 2026 Wash100 awardee, who will transition to a new global leadership role within CGI.

CGI Federal said Wednesday Bearfield will oversee nearly 8,000 employees delivering mission-critical technology capabilities to federal agencies across defense, intelligence, civilian, healthcare, justice and international affairs sectors.

Tim Hurlebaus, president and CEO of CGI and a four-time Wash100 honoree, said Bearfield brings nearly 30 years of experience supporting federal agencies and has demonstrated leadership in delivering secure and innovative digital modernization programs.

What Is Stephanie Mango’s New Role at CGI?

Mango, who currently leads CGI Federal as president, will become executive vice president and chief administrative officer for CGI’s global operations.

In her new role, she said she will support CGI’s global operations by reimagining enterprise processes and accelerating the adoption of agentic AI across the company’s workforce of more than 94,000 employees in 40 countries.

Mango said she has worked closely with Bearfield for many years and expressed confidence in her leadership as CGI Federal’s next president.

Who Is Alisa Bearfield?

Bearfield currently serves as senior VP of CGI Federal’s civilian business unit, where she leads business and technology strategies supporting civilian government customers.

She has 28 years of experience serving federal organizations across all three branches of government, with expertise in IT modernization, enterprise transformation and end-to-end IT services.

Bearfield is a certified Project Management Professional and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on management information systems from Binghamton University.
