In this capacity, Genter will report directly to Peraton Chairman and CEO Steve Schorer, a 2026 Wash100 Award winner, and work with the leadership team as he oversees operations and execution aligned with the company’s strategic priorities, the company said Thursday.
He will also help drive growth initiatives, strengthen the company’s mission-focused capabilities and support talent development across the enterprise.

Schorer, a four-time Wash100 awardee, described Genter as a transformational leader with deep experience in the defense and federal markets.
“His exceptional abilities to build high-performance teams, drive growth, and execute complex integrations make him the ideal president and COO for Peraton, and an example of our investment in top talent to shape the future of the company,” he said of Genter.
