American Systems has secured a follow-on contract valued at $172.7 million to continue supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division’s Demonstration and Assessment Team. The award includes a one-year base period and four one-year options, the company said Tuesday.

How Will American Systems Support the Navy and Marine Corps?
American Systems will serve as the prime contractor, leading a team of operational test and cybersecurity professionals to help the Navy and Marine Corps evaluate emerging technologies and accelerate the transition of new capabilities to operational use. The effort focuses on conducting demonstrations and assessments in realistic environments to provide decision-makers with timely, data-driven insight into system performance.
The will apply its expertise in cybersecurity, unmanned systems, DevSecOps and live-virtual-constructive environments to support secure integration and evaluation of new capabilities.
American Systems said it will also use large language models and generative artificial intelligence tools to deliver information to leadership within compressed timelines.
