KBR Secures $103M in Space Force Task Orders to Support Workforce Readiness, Capability Development

KBR has been awarded two task orders worth $103 million to boost strategic decision-making and capability development for the U.S. Space Force. Secured under the Decision Support for Headquarters USSF Analysis contract, the firm-fixed-price awards will provide critical support for personnel readiness across the Space Force and the Department of the Air Force, KBR said Monday.

The task orders, issued through the Space Force Chief Technology & Innovation Office, carry a three-year period of performance. Work will be executed in Chantilly, Virginia.

“We are proud to continue our partnership with the U.S. Space Force, delivering the critical analysis and technical expertise needed to drive strategic decisions and accelerate capability development,” said Stuart Bradie, KBR president and CEO.

What Will KBR Do Under the USSF/S1 Analysis Support Task Order?

Under one task order, KBR will provide analysis and technical expertise supporting the Space Force’s strategic support division. The work covers skills and certification analysis, workforce design, scientific assessments and artificial intelligence-enabled analytics intended to strengthen personnel readiness and support talent decisions.

KBR will manage certification coding, create interactive dashboards, enable person-job matching algorithms, design and execute central selection boards, analyze promotion outcomes, and deliver recommendations to senior leaders. The task order also includes support for space professional billet validation using STARS, Military Personnel Data System and MyVector.

What Is Included in KBR’s Headquarters Space Force Cyber and Data Task Order?

Under the second task order, KBR will provide data-driven analysis supporting decision-making across strategic, operational, personnel policy and acquisition areas within the DAF, Space Force headquarters and field command staff. The company said the work will draw on expertise in space technologies, multi-domain experimentation and model-based systems engineering.

How Do the New Task Orders Fit Into KBR’s Recent Defense Work?

The awards build on KBR’s recent defense-related wins. Under the same Decision Support for USSF Headquarters Analysis contract, the company recently received a $77 million Space Force task order supporting digital engineering and assured communications.

Earlier in February, KBR announced it had secured a potential $149 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to support system modernization and operator readiness at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida under the Acquisition, Data, Engineering, Digital, Decision Integration and Software program. That contract includes advanced analytics, decision-support tools, digital transformation and engineering support.

In January, the company confirmed its selection for the Missile Defense Agency’s Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense contract, a multiple-award IDIQ vehicle with a ceiling value of $151 billion.
