SAIC Announces Organizational Realignment

SAIC will consolidate its five current business groups into three as part of an organizational restructuring intended to simplify operations, strengthen customer focus and drive growth and shareholder value.

The company said Thursday the new structure will take effect Jan. 31.

SAIC is one of the sponsors of the Potomac Officers Club’s 2026 Defense R&D Summit on Jan. 29, bringing together top defense leaders, researchers and innovators. “We’re making these changes to ensure that we are well positioned to capitalize on opportunities for growth and value creation, and to align our investments more closely with those opportunities,” said James Reagan, interim CEO of SAIC and a five-time Wash100 awardee. “By optimizing our organization for speed, flexibility and efficiency, we expect that we will be able to better serve our customers and accelerate growth.”

As part of the reorganization, SAIC said it will also restructure its Chief Innovation Office to align it with the company’s business groups and the markets they support.

What Are the 3 Consolidated SAIC Business Groups?

Under the new structure, SAIC will operate three business groups:

  • Army-Navy business group, or ANG: This group will comprise the current Army and Navy business groups.
  • Air Force, Space and Intelligence business group, or AFSI. This group will comprise the Air Force and Combatant Commands group, as well as the Space and Intelligence business group.
  • Civilian business group. This will remain in its current form.

Who Will Lead SAIC’s New Business Groups?

  • Barbara Supplee, executive vice president of SAIC’s Navy business group, will lead ANG.
  • Vinnie DiFronzo, EVP of SAIC’s Air Force and Combatant Commands business group and a two-time Wash100 awardee, will oversee AFSI.
  • Srini Attili will continue to lead SAIC’s Civilian business group.

SAIC announced that several executives will leave the company to pursue other opportunities. Among them are Josh Jackson, EVP of SAIC’s Army business group and a two-time Wash100 Award recipient; David Ray, EVP of the company’s space and intelligence business group; and Lauren Knausenberger, SAIC’s chief innovation officer and a three-time Wash100 awardee.

“On behalf of myself and the SAIC Board of Directors, I want to express our deep gratitude to Josh Jackson, Lauren Knausenberger, and David Ray, and thank them for their significant contributions and dedication to advancing SAIC’s mission,” Reagan added.
