The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded SAIC an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, valued up to $629.8 million, under the Air Traffic Engineering and Program Support, or ATEPS, II.
Under ATEPS II, SAIC will provide program management, system engineering and development, and implementation support services to the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization. The FAA is executing its Next Generation Air Transportation System, or NextGen, initiative, which aims to modernize the U.S. national airspace system, or NAS.
The contract covers NextGen programs aimed at improving the safety, efficiency and capacity of NAS across four FAA directorates: Integrated Services and Analysis, Air Traffic Systems, Enterprise Services and Surveillance Services.
The award follows a potential five-year contract that the FAA awarded to SAIC in January for IT services. The $122.9 million IDIQ supports the FAA Enterprise Services Center at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City.
