A joint venture led by Bechtel has secured a potential one-year, $442.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to continue providing test operations and sustainment support for the Arnold Engineering Development Complex in Tennessee.
The Department of Defense said Monday Bechtel-led National Aerospace Solutions will provide technology development, capital improvements, equipment and facility sustainment and other support services for AEDC.
The latest award brings the original contract’s total cumulative face value to $2.62 billion.
Contract work will run through June 30, 2025.
In January, NAS received a potential $250 million contract modification to continue flight testing and sustainment support for the complex.
NAS develops technology, performs testing work and maintains equipment for AEDC, the world’s largest complex of flight simulation test facilities. Sierra Lobo and GP Strategies are Bechtel’s main teaming partners on NAS, while Chugach Federal Solutions and nLogic serve as teaming subcontractors.
