Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) have secured other transaction prototype agreement modifications to extend the companies’ technology development services under the Missile Defense Agency’s Glide Phase Interceptor program .
The additional funds would allow the contractors to fine-tune GPI concepts, as part of a hypersonic defense program, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work is scheduled to run through March 2024.
The modifications are valued at $88.7 million for Raytheon and $83.7 million for Northrop, bringing the total value of their OTAs to $241.5 million and $239.4 million, respectively.
Both companies previously received OTA modifications for the program’s materiel solutions analysis phase .
