Boeing (NYSE: BA) reported a $6.2 billion revenue from its defense, space and security business for the fourth quarter of 2022, compared with the $5.8 billion posted in the same period a year ago.
The BDS organization posted a 5 percent growth year-on-year, bringing its annual sales to $23.1 billion, according to Q4 2022 financial results published Wednesday.
Boeing attributed the positive results to booked contracts during the quarter, including orders for two KC-46A Tankers from the Japanese government, and 12 CH-47F Chinook helicopters from the Egyptian Air Force.
The division’s most notable projects in Q4 were the completion of the Space Launch System core stage, which was installed in the Artemis I lunar mission, and the T-7A Red Hawk advanced pilot training system for the U.S. Air Force.
Boeing also issued a full 2023 outlook that forecasts operating cash flow at $4.5 billion to $6.5 billion, and free cash flow of between $3 billion and $5 billion.
