Crowley‘s government services business will operate and maintain six container roll-on/roll-off vessels for the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command under a potential five-year, $343.2 million contract.
The company will provide support services to the government-owned Maritime Prepositioning Force fleet, which moves military equipment between operating areas, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The ships covered by the contract are as follows:
USNS 2nd LT John P. Bobo
USNS SGT William R. Button
USNS 1st LT Baldomero Lopez
1st LT Jack Lummus
USNS PFC Dewayne T. Williams
USNS GYSGT Fred W. Stockham
Work will be performed worldwide and the U.S. Navy’s fiscal 2023 working capital funds amounting to $66.2 million will be utilized for the commitment before the end of September.
Crowley Government Services bested five other bidders for the firm-fixed-price contract.
