The U.S. Army has awarded 26 companies positions on a potential 10-year, $869 million contract to provide research, development and engineering support services to the service branch.
The firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-incentive fee contract also covers test and evaluation, support for biological and chemical demilitarization operations and acquisition services, including product development and deployment, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Army Contracting Command received 26 bids for the hybrid contract and expects work to run through April 7, 2032.
