Parsons-Leidos-SAIC-SRC Team to Pursue $953M USAF Base Protection Contract

Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has teamed up with Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and SRC to compete for a potential 10-year, $953M contract seeking new systems that would protect U.S. Air Force bases in Europe and Africa.

The Parsons-led industry team will apply commercial and government off-the-shelf technologies to develop a system intended for operation across multiple domains under the Air Base Air Defense program, the company said Monday.

USAF launched formal solicitations for the ABAD indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in December.

“As asymmetric threats from emerging technologies continue to proliferate, we’re focused on developing a flexible, responsive, all-domain air base defense system to rapidly detect, alert, deny or defeat threats ranging from low-cost irregular attacks to hypersonic weapons,” said Shaun McGrath, ABAD program manager at Parsons.

Leidos maintains a portfolio of systems and service offerings for air, land, sea, space and cyber applications, while SAIC offers systems engineering, information technology and training support services.

SRC conducts research and development of electronic warfare, radio frequency and simulation products.
