The notice, posted Tuesday on SAM, calls for interested parties to submit statements on their capabilities to help the agency integrate payload and send spacecraft for the Europa Clipper mission projected to launch on a date that falls between Oct. 10 and 30, 2024.
The agency will aim to determine whether the moon's habitability by using five remote sensing instruments designed to gather data on thermal emission and ultraviolet aspects.
Europa Clipper spacecraft will be built with a two-channel radar, a gravity science payload and two pairs of instruments for in-situ field and particle studies.
NASA wants to also generate high-resolution images of Europa, measure the thickness of its icy shell and identify components, measure the salinity and depth of the ocean and find subsurface lakes there.
Interested parties can submit input through Feb. 8.
