MAG Aerospace has purchased Dallas-based Remotely Piloted Solutions for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its command, control, computers, communications, cyber, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities and service offerings.
Fairfax, Va.-based MAG Aerospace said Monday it will absorb more than 300 C5ISR professionals from RPS as part of the acquisition.
Founded in 2013, RPS provides operational aircrew services, weapons and maintenance, intelligence support and research, development, test and evaluation services in support of C5ISR missions across manned and unmanned systems.
MAG CEO Joe Fluet said RPS has an unmatched reputation when it comes to carrying out C5ISR mission and tech integration on large unmanned platforms worldwide.
“The rapid growth RPS has shown over the last few years is a testament to the fantastic leadership team that will be joining the MAG Aerospace team in making the world smaller and safer,” Fluet added.
Ropes & Gray and Cooley served as MAG Aerospace’s legal advisers in the transaction, while Jackson Walker provided legal counsel to RPS.
