More than 200 small businesses have won spots during the on-ramp process for the National Institutes of Health's potential $20B governmentwide acquisition contract for information technology products and services.
The NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center said Wednesday it also issued two awards under the small business 8(a) portfion of Chief Information Officer–Solutions and Partners 3 vehicle.
CIO-SP3 Small Business covers support for federal IT and health IT requirements and covers a performance period that runsf from May 11 through July 14, 2022.
The contract vehicle’s ramp-on period is meant to encourage competition and provide opportunities for small and disadvantaged companies, according to NITAAC.
“We are extremely excited to award the final group in this ramp on,” said Keith Johnson, lead contracting officer for CIO-SP3 and its small business category.
“When a small business gets a government contract everyone wins as the small business is often able to quickly create jobs and spur economic growth."
