Apax Partners has completed its acquisition of cybersecurity services provider Coalfire and retained William Malone as head of the latter’s federal government services practice.
Coalfire, which first announced the transaction in December, aims to help contractors prepare for the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, the company said Thursday.
Tom McAndrew, Coalfire CEO, said the firm looks to drive growth by investing in new technology, exploring strategic acquisitions and expanding services intended to support multicloud computing and remote functions.
“We appreciate the stewardship of our previous owners, The Carlyle Group and Chertoff Capital, that has set the course for this opportunity with our management,” McAndrew added.
Coalfire is headquartered in Westminster, Colo., and works with government customers to help them address security threats, gaps and risks.
