Jonathan Sholtis, senior vice president of Cybersecurity Services for ICF, will be featured as the moderator for the expert panel during Potomac Officers Club’s 2019 Cybersecurity Summit on May 8th at the Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Va.
At the event GovCon leaders from the public and private sector will discuss how to collaborate on new cyber programs, initiatives and emerging technologies in the federal market. An expert panel will debate cyber resiliency, suggestions for integrating IT and engineering disciplines to protect operational technologies and new approaches to strengthen security at all levels.
As senior vice president of Cybersecurity Services, Sholtis supervises a full spectrum of cybersecurity capabilities to ensure operations to important clients in the federal government, state and local government, Department of Defense and commercial clients.
Sholtis takes an entrepreneurial approach to solving the complex demands of the cybersecurity domain and delivers tangible results that made a significant impact for ICF clients.
In the development and delivery of cyber education and training, Sholtis led a 150-member team responsible for designing, developing and maintaining over 30 formal courses, building, operating and maintaining all networks that supported thousands of real-time students and schoolhouse operations that delivered over 250,000 hours of training in 2017.
Sholtis served as an information warfare officer in the U.S. Navy and specialized in signals intelligence and cyber threat intelligence. He was deployed aboard several U.S. Navy submarines, provided support to Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq between 2008 and 2009 and served in the Operations Directorate (J3) during the stand-up and transition to full operational capability of U.S. Cyber Command.
Sholtis earned a bachelor’s degree in optics from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in technical management from the Johns Hopkins University’s Whiting Engineering School.
