Diana Gowen, a 30-year telecommunications and networking industry veteran, has joined New York-based communications firm MetTel as general manager and senior vice president of federal program.
Gowen will work through the companys Washington, D.C.-based office as she helps MetTel expand the delivery of communications platforms and services to federal agencies, MetTel said Tuesday.
MetTel CEO Marshall Aronow said Gowens leadership helped the company land a spot on the General Services Administrations Enterprise Infrastructure Services contract and is expected to provide guidance as the firm works to support federal agencies in their digital transformation efforts.
MetTel is one of the 10 companies that secured positions on the potential 15-year, $50 billion EIS contract for telecommunications services in August.
Prior to joining MetTel, Gowen led her own consulting firm for three years and previously served as head of CenturyLinks (NYSE: CTL) federal business.
She also held senior leadership roles at Qwest Government Services, Corvis, Broadwing Communications, MCI Government Markets and AT&T (NYSE: T)
