Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and Aurora Flight Sciences have won positions on a potential eight-year, $499 million contract from the U.S. Air Force to research, develop and demonstrate aerospace vehicle systems designed to deliver weapons, cargo and other payloads to warfighters.
The Air Force Research Laboratory received six proposals for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in support of the Aerospace Systems Air Platform Technology Researchprogram, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The contractors will perform work in California and Virginia through 2025 and compete for six task orders under the IDIQ contract.
