Randy Wotring
Randy Wotring, former president of the management services segment at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), has been appointed to a newly-created role of president of technical and operational services in a move that takes effect immediately.
AECOM said Thursday that transition will also see John Vollmer, previously executive vice president and chief operating officer for management services, elevate to the role of president over the estimated $3.4 billion segment and he will report directly to Wotring.
Management services segment revenue represented approximately one-fifth of total sales for the Los Angeles-based company’s 2015 fiscal year.
John Vollmer
Wotring joined AECOM in October 2014 as management services segment lead upon that company’s $4 billion purchase of URS Corp., where he led the federal business for 10 years as president.
He will continue to oversee management services business and hold new responsibility over AECOM’s efforts to grow in the commercial and international public sector markets and add new critical infrastructure-related projects.
AECOM credited Wotring for URS’ expansion into large programs with the U.S. Defense Department, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, Energy Department; and the U.K.s defense ministry and Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.
Vollmer will lead AECOMs technical and management services work for U.S. agencies such as DoD, the Energy Department and others.
