Christopher Cambria Named Mercury Systems SVP, General Counsel & Secretary

Christopher Cambria, formerly vice president, general counsel and secretary of Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings (NYSE: AJRD), has joined Mercury Systems (Nasdaq: MRCY) as senior VP, general counsel and secretary at the Massachusetts-based processing subsystems producer.

He will report directly to President and CEO Mark Aslett and oversee all legal and regulatory aspects of Mercury’s corporate finance transactions and mergers and acquisition activities, the company said Monday.

“The wealth of in-depth business expertise [Cambria] brings in M&A transactions as well as a broad range of corporate, legal and regulatory functions will be essential to supporting Mercury’s successful growth, ” said Aslett.

Cambria managed the acquisition of Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne by Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, formerly known as Gencorp, from United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) in 2013.

The 30-year industry veteran also previously served as SVP and general counsel at L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL), where he oversaw the company’s initial public offering and NYSE listing as well as more than 100 M&A transactions.

He led L-3’s negotiations to acquire Titan Corp. in 2005 and Raytheon‘s (NYSE:RTN) aircraft integrations systems division for approximately in 2002.
