Data Computer Corp. of America has won a potential five-year, $80 million task order to update the U.S. Air Force’s main mission communication system to an Internet protocol v6 network as part of the Western Range Modernization Network initiative.
The service branch received three bids for the program through a competitive procurement and awarded the task to DCCA under the General Services Administration‘s Alliant Small Business contract vehicle, the Defense Departmentsaid Friday.
The WMN program seeks to transition the launch and test range system’s communication subsystem to the IP v6 from the asynchronous transfer mode network, according to a November 2012 notice posted on FedBizOpps.
DCCA will perform work at four military facilities in California through April 28, 2021.
The Air Force space and missile systems center’s range and network division will obligate $24.8 million from fiscal 2014 procurement funds at the time of award, according to DoD.
Maryland-based DCCA is a veteran-owned small business that provides cybersecurity, information assurance, systems updates, testing, data engineering and web services to federal agencies.
