Who Is Ben Shotzberger?
The McLean, Virginia-based company said Wednesday Shotzberger brings experience spanning federal civilian agencies, national security missions and defense organizations. Before joining Agile Defense, he served as senior director of business development at CyKor, where he helped expand the company’s federal civilian and security-focused business. He previously held the role of senior director of business development for homeland security at ASRC Federal and served as DHS market lead and senior project manager at Digital Cloak.
Earlier in his career, he spent nearly nine years at DHS, including leadership roles within the Science and Technology Directorate and as special assistant to the under secretary for science and technology.
What Will Shotzberger Do at Agile Defense?
In his new role, Shotzberger will oversee the company’s DHS growth strategy, with an emphasis on strengthening partnerships, pursuing mission-focused opportunities and supporting homeland security objectives.
Agile Defense CEO Rick Wagner, a seven-time Wash100 Award winner, said Shotzberger’s experience provides valuable insight into homeland security challenges and will help strengthen the company’s relationships within DHS while supporting mission readiness and resilience efforts.
Shotzberger joins Agile Defense as the company continues to expand its footprint within the Department of Homeland Security. In April, Agile Defense secured a potential $118 million contract from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to support digital modernization efforts under the RAPID program.
