The U.S. Army has awarded a potential $675 million contract modification to eight companies to continue to provide information technology systems in support of the service branch™s enterprise software.
The Army Contracting Command will obligate funds and work location upon award of each task order and expects contract work to finish Oct. 23, 2017, the Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday.
The contract modification was awarded under the Army Desktop and Mobile Computing-2contract vehicle that the service branch uses to procure commercial off-the-shelf desktop, displays, ruggedized and semi-ruggedized devices, notebooks, printers, personal digital assistants and other peripheral devices.
ADMC-2 also covers installation, system configuration, custom imaging, site survey and asset tagging support services.
