Oshkosh has renamed its defense segment as the transport segment and appointed industry veteran Steve Nordlund as executive vice president and president of the transport segment.
Transport Segment to Continue Tactical Vehicle Delivery to Defense Clients
Oshkosh said Tuesday the transport segment will continue to deliver tactical wheeled vehicles and mobility platforms to defense customers and expand into commercial markets.
The expansion is exemplified by the company’s Next Generation Delivery Vehicle, or NGDV, contract with the U.S. Postal Service. The NGDV contract is expected to reach full-rate production later in 2025.

“Steve brings a strong, people-focused leadership style and a proven ability to deliver growth and operational excellence through clear, strategic direction,” said Pfeifer.
Nordlund said he is honored to be part of the team.
“The business is well-positioned to deliver accelerated growth and margin expansion as we leverage our differentiated purpose, culture and capabilities,” he noted.
