John Mengucci, president and CEO of CACI, has received the 2025 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson during a recent visit.
Each year, the highly coveted Wash100 Award is given to the top 100 executives who have exhibited exceptional leadership and influence that continue transforming the government contracting industry.
“John’s leadership at CACI is a masterclass in consistency and strategic growth. A six-time Wash100 winner, he continues to steer CACI to new heights, securing major contract wins from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Southern Command and NavalX, while expanding CACI’s capabilities through high-impact acquisitions like Azure Summit and Applied Insight,” said Garrettson.
“Under his guidance, CACI remains a top performer in cyber, space, IT and engineering—delivering mission-critical solutions for national security. His ability to drive both innovation and reliability is what makes CACI, and John himself, a standout in GovCon year after year,” the Wash100 Award founder continued.
Since the award was established in 2014, Mengucci has been recognized six times. This year, the executive was honored for his significant contributions to the GovCon landscape. He led CACI in expanding its technological capabilities, securing several multi-billion-dollar contracts, and strengthening its position as a top-tier provider of defense and intelligence technologies.

Under his leadership, CACI expanded its portfolio through strategic acquisitions and technological advancements. The company purchased Azure Summit Technology to bolster its defense communications and signals intelligence portfolio. It also acquired Applied Insight to reinforce its position in cloud and edge computing.
