What Does the IFPC Inc 2 Contract Cover?
The Reston, Virginia-based company said Thursday the contract covers the production and delivery of additional launchers for IFPC Inc 2, the Army’s next-generation air defense system. With this award, the total value of Leidos’ work on the program approaches $1.2 billion, following a $92.1 million award in September 2025 and a $264.6 million contract in July. The company also received a delivery order for 18 IFPC Inc 2 launchers in April 2025 and a $4.1 billion contract in November 2024.
In total, Leidos is now tasked with delivering more than 100 launchers while continuing research, development and testing to support future orders through 2029.
What Is IFPC Inc 2?
The IFPC Inc 2 system is designed to provide mobile, ground-based protection against cruise missiles and unmanned aerial threats. It leverages an open architecture to integrate existing and future effectors and link with command-and-control systems. IFPC Inc 2 offers plug-and-play protection while remaining compatible with Army transport platforms and vehicles.
“We’re working with our Army and industry partners to apply innovative manufacturing and engineering strategies that ensure this capability is ready when and where it’s needed, while building resiliency and capacity across the supply chain to support sustained, scalable production,” said Dino Pusinsky, vice president of the IFPC Inc 2 product area at Leidos.
