Frank Whitworth, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and a four-time Wash100 Award recipient, has been named CEO of r4 Federal, the defense and national security subsidiary of r4 Technologies.
The company said Wednesday Whitworth will oversee the deployment of r4’s Cross-Enterprise Management platform and Predictive Digital Twin technology across U.S. defense organizations and allied partners.
He will also lead efforts to expand these capabilities beyond defense sustainment into operational decision support and the broader intelligence community.
Who Is Frank Whitworth?
Whitworth is a veteran national security and intelligence officer who served as the eighth director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
His more than three-decade military career included time as an intelligence director for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, U.S. Africa Command and Joint Special Operations Command. He also held senior leadership positions at the National Security Agency, Defense Intelligence Agency and the White House Situation Room.
Whitworth most recently served as president of national security at r4 Federal. In this capacity, he helped defense and intelligence organizations leverage artificial intelligence and data to speed up decision-making in complex environments and turn advanced technologies into operational tools in support of national security missions.
