Unanet Acquires Contraqer to Boost GovCon Growth

Unanet, a company offering project-based enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management services, has completed the acquisition of software firm Contraqer.

The Dulles, Virginia-headquartered company said Wednesday the acquisition of the market intelligence and procurement software provider aims to enhance Unanet’s ability to provide government contractors support in identifying and winning new business.

Addressing Challenges Faced by Government Contractors

Unanet’s recent GAUGE Report highlights the challenges faced by GovCons, including the lack of business development resources and the struggle to win contracts. By acquiring the Arlington, Virginia-based Contraqer, Unanet is now equipped with the tools to help GovCons capture more opportunities despite shifting market conditions brought about by changes in the administration and economy.

The acquisition enables Unanet to leverage Contraqer’s three specialized SaaS platforms — GovIntel, GovChannel and Direct — to streamline GovCon operations. These tools enable clients to engage with prime contractors looking for teaming partners, obtain information about government solicitations and identify opportunities not available to the public. GovCons can also select partners from multiple prime contractors and collaborate with companies offering different products and services.

The newly integrated features bolster Unanet’s growth suite, which includes CRM and artificial intelligence technologies. Customers can utilize options such as opportunity identification, AI-powered pursuit recommendation, AI-powered proposal generation, relationship management, pipeline management and friction-free procurement.

Craig Halliday, Unanet CEO and three-time Wash100 Award winner, said, “Customers told us they want a set of smart, efficient solutions that spur growth at their businesses and we’ve delivered both with innovation and strategic acquisitions like Contraqer. We already have an award-winning CRM solution for GovCons and recently, we’ve integrated AI-enabled proposal development, project manufacturing and much more.”
