Accenture Federal Services Wins $3.5B DOE CBOSS 2.0 BPA for IT Support

Accenture’s federal arm has won the $3.5 billion CIO Business Operation Support Services, or CBOSS, recompete blanket purchase agreement from the Department of Energy to provide IT professional services across the DOE enterprise.

According to a notice published Friday on the Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation, DOE launched a full and open competition and received five offers for the CBOSS 2.0 BPA.

The ordering period for the single-award BPA will run through July 16, 2032.

CBOSS 2.0 BPA Scope

In September 2023, DOE’s Office of the Chief Information Officer issued a request for information on the BPA.

CBOSS 2.0 encompasses five areas: general IT support; cybersecurity; infrastructure and shared services; technology strategy and innovation; and telecommunications support.

For instance, general IT support may include database administration, DevOps, system engineering and integration, website development, software delivery lifecycle, direct material purchasing, asset management and enterprise architecture services.

In April 2019, an Accenture Federal Services-led team that includes General Dynamics Information Technology, Unisys and Red River won the first iteration of the CBOSS BPA.
