Matthew Heideman Joins Mattermost as Public Sector VP

Matthew Heideman, an executive with more than 25 years of experience in information technology and applications, was named vice president of public sector at Mattermost, according to his LinkedIn announcement.

Heideman most recently served as president and general manager of the government-focused business arm of Xage Security. At the helm of Xage Security Government, he led sales efforts to expand the company’s footprint in the U.S. federal market. The executive joined Xage in August 2022 as VP of sales.

Notably, Heideman spent over a decade at IBM (NYSE: IBM) as a Department of Defense business sales and delivery executive.

His career also includes time serving as business development manager at Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), program manager/business development lead at Deloitte Consulting and strategic account executive at Red Hat.
