Kash Shaikh, former president, CEO and board of directors member at Virtana, has assumed similar roles at Securonix.
As company president and CEO, Shaikh will draw from his more than three decades of experience in overseeing organizational modernization and developing technology for worldwide entities to advance Securonix’s profitable growth, the cybersecurity provider Tuesday.
Previously, Shaikh served as global vice president and general manager for Dell Technologies‘ (NYSE: DELL) enterprise unit. He also held numerous leadership and executive positions, including global VP and executive director at Hewlett Packard, where he was responsible for marketing the company’s cybersecurity programs.
Nadeem Syed, a Securonix board member, said, “Kash is a veteran, customer-focused technology executive with extensive experience leading and scaling businesses providing mission-critical software products to enterprise customers around the world.”
Shaikh looks to advance security information and event management, or SIEM, for Securonix customers. “As the chosen SIEM provider by 1,000 of the world’s largest and most respected enterprise customers, Securonix is well-positioned for its next phase of profitable growth,” he said.
“I am excited to bring my customer-centric approach and servant leadership to achieve our mission of securing the world by staying ahead of cyber threats,” Shaikh added.
Shaikh’s appointment comes after former Securonix president and CEO Nayaki Nayyar stepped down from the position. Shaikh will also be a member of the company’s board of directors, effective immediately.
