Josh Watters has been named vice president of defense programs and manufacturing services at the defense and government systems division of Hughes Network Systems, according to his LinkedIn post Tuesday.
He joins the satellite network and communications company from Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), where he worked for over two decades, most recently as a program manager.
During his nearly 12-year tenure as a program manager, Watters oversaw development and production programs exceeding $1 billion in value.
He also held other positions at Northrop, including head of the electronic warfare systems engineering department, engineering manager of EW systems and hardware manager/integrated product team/design engineer.
Before joining Northrop in August 2000, he ran his own company called Vortex Computing for over five years.
