Aaron Weis, managing director of technology at Google Public Sector, has been selected as chair of Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 CIO Group.
More than 200 top GovCon companies are represented in the 4×24 executive leadership program, whose mission is to create an environment that empowers idea exchange and relationship building between the government contracting industry’s most elite and influential leaders in both the public and private sectors. Through 4×24 meetings, Executive Mosaic offers select participants the opportunity to engage in timely and important discussions surrounding GovCon’s top priorities.
As chair of the CIO Group, Weis, who transitioned to Google from his role as Department of the Navy chief information officer in March, will guide rigorous discussions between impactful GovCon CIOs as they consider the increasing importance of information technology in the United States’ most critical missions.

Weis has three decades of experience in information technology-related roles. During his three years as DON CIO, Weis guided the department’s digital, information management, data and cybersecurity efforts. Before stepping down from the position, he released the DON’s fiscal year 2023 Information Superiority Vision – a plan to modernize IT systems and strategies within the department. Prior to assuming the position in 2019, Weis served as senior advisor to the Department of Defense CIO.

Weis’ previous industry roles include leadership positions at Siemens, Tyco International, Sensata Technologies and Axalta Coating Systems.
